Act 4, Scene 2

Storyboard Text

  • I must tell Lady Macduff her husband has left
  • You don’t know whether it was wisdom or fear that made him flee.
  • As for your husband, he is noble, wise, and judicious, and he understands what the times require.
  • Pull yourself together!
  • You have to be patient madam
  • He is a coward and a traitor!
  • Why did he leave?
  • It can't be wisdom. He left everything behind. He doesn't love us
  • I must leave, for if I stay I may disgrace myself and cry
  • He has a father, and yet he is fatherless.
  • Sirrah, your father is dead. What will you do now?
  • I can get a husband at anytime, but what will you do for a father?
  • Yes, he made a promise and broke it.
  • Was my father a traitor, Mother?
  • I will live on whatever I get, like birds do.
  • No matter what you say, my father is not dead!
  • Where should I go? I haven’t done anything wrong.
  • Lady Macduff! Danger is coming! Take your child and leave!
  • Heaven keep you safe!
  • You will not find him!
  • Liar!
  • Where is your husband?
  • He’s a traitor.
