Storyboard Text

  • When Hansel and Gretel returned to their village with the witch's treasure, the people were not happy. The people thought that they brought the village bad luck. The people also thought the twins had gone insane because they were filthy and had a random bag of treasure with them.
  • Hansel and Gretel returned to their hut to find their father very ill.  The villagers wanted to kick them out but decided to let them stay and care for their father. Still, none belived their tale about the witch.
  • Eventually their father died and they were forced to leave the village and their treasure was taken. They decided to return to the deceased witch's candy house. They would live the rest of their lives shunned by the villagers.
  • 50 YEARS LATER: Hansel and Gretel have been living in the gingerbread house ever since they were banned from the village. They are sick of being shunned and alone. They are angry at the villagers because they put them in this position. They want to get back at them.
  •
  • They lured the village children into the woods. Then they covered them with sweets.
  • The wolves smelled something sweet and delicious. They began to surround the kids. They were in attack position...
  • Hansel and Gretel walked triumphantly back to their house to see their stove in flames through the window. All of a sudden they were swept away by a river of candy. Their house had melted! The rushing noise scared away the wolves and the children climbed into the trees.
  • It took the villagers a long time to repair the flood damages but they realized that Hansel and Gretel were telling the truth the whole time. They renamed the village Hansgretville in their honor. From then on the villagers realized everyone deserves a chance and it's more important whats on the inside.
