Bobby was inside playing when his mom told him to go play outside.
While Bobby was playing basketball he fell and got a gash in his knee. His receptors sent an afferent message to his control center that he had been cut.
I am the control center! Also known as the Brain. Bobby is loosing blood, so he is going to need plenty of platelets to heal.
After Bobby's mom helped him inside he noticed he had started to get a scab over his cut.
I'm Bobby's heart! His brain, or Control Center, sent out Effectors via an efferent pathway to tell me to pump excess platelets to his cut.
Mom! I'm feeling much better! Thanks to Positive Stimulus I'm back to a state of homeostasis.
