Let's build a city!
Romulus and Remus were twin brothers. Their Dad was Mars the god of war and their Mum was Rhea. Mars didn't want his sons to steal his throne so he lay them in a basket and put them in a river.
Romulus and Remus were found by wolves and raised by them too. One day some shepherds came by and one decided to take them home and look after them.
Lots of people liked the twins and they wanted them to be rulers, so they decided to make a city. They decided to build it where Rome is today.
Romulus wanted to make a wall around their city so he did. Remus thought it was a bad idea so he showed his brother how bad it was by jumping over it.
Romulus was VERY angry with his brother, so he killed him and called his city Rome after himself
Rome went on to be a amazing place. The moral of the story is don't annoy your brother if there is any chance of him killing you.
