Globalization affects the global economy due to the interaction between countries which results in much cheaper interesting products.
Globalization affects the amount of money americans spend on clothes, food, and products because they look for the cheapest one there is. "In 2013 American's purchased on average 64 items per person." (John Oliver). Clothing is big nowadays because we have commercial's that convince us to buy the trendy looks or the best chicken there is.
In most company's they have sweatshops with many under aged workers and the place gets crowded, making the condition of the sweatshop horrible. "...predominantly teen-age girls, some as young as 15-routinely worked 18-hour shift." (John Oliver). Most teenagers are desperate for jobs to help around the house that they have to lie about their age to get the job no matter the condition.
Globalization has affected the amount of money people make per year because consumers have gained lots of interest in brands such as Nike or even Coca Cola. Which makes us purchase things in a higher price, this is global appeal. "It has provided the flexibility of having many consumption alternatives at reasonable prices and created a slew of expectations moving forward." (James Scriven).
"...into the future, consumers and marketers can see an increase of the types of goods within existing markets or tiers..." (James Scriren). Each day, there are variety of goods, and people love that because they want new things.
In conclusion, the affects of globalization are lower amounts of money spent due to cheaper products resulting in more items sold causing higher demand of goods.
