  • Who wrote the document?  Angry Nobles When did they write it? 1215 Why did they write this? They wanted the king to have limited power and that this document would protect certain rights.  What were they trying to accomplish? They were trying to get rights and limit the king's powers.
  • Who wrote the document? Englishmen When did they write it? 1689 Why did they write this? Like the Magna Carta, the people wanted the king to have limited power and expanded rights. What were they trying to accomplish? They wanted Free elections, the right to bear arms, arms to petition the government, and fair trial, and no excessive bail or fines or cruel and unusual punishment.
  • Who wrote the document? Pilgrims that left England When did they write it? 1620 Why did they write this? To solve the main problem which is who would be in charge.  What were they trying to accomplish? They were trying to create their own government, agree that the laws will be followed by everyone, and make sure that the new government will serve the common good.
