  • The Titans and Gods gathered to discuss the decision on who would get the more favored portion of the sacrifice. Prometheus the titan stole fire from the other gods and gave it to Humanity. The sacrifice was presented in such a way that Zeus could not resist, he chose the portion of it that appealed to him the most, in reality it was just bones. Zeus wanted to get even with Prometheus, so he went to the god Hephaestus. He created a woman, she would be irresistible to man and all gods. They could only accomplish this by having Aphrodite pose for the creation of a statue. The woman would get a from each Olympian god, she was created by earth and water. Aphrodite gave her beauty, grace and desire. Hermes gave her cunning, a deceitful mind and a crafty tongue. Athena clothed her and taught her how to deft with her hands. Poseidon gave her a pearl necklace that would keep her from drowning. Apollo taught her to sing and play lyre. Zeus gave her the foolish, mischievous qualities. Hera gave her Curiosity.
  • She was named Pandora, she was the first mortal woman to be born. Her name meant all-gifted which came from being gifted from all gods. Hermes gave her a box, gifted from Zeus. She was warning never to open it no matter what. Epimetheus was Prometheus’s half brother, he was told never to accept anything from Zeus. He knew that Zeus was still angry and seeked revenge. It only took him one look at Pandora and he had fallen in love with her and get married.
  • I am here to congratulate you on your marriage, but I must tell you that Pandora was a gift as well as a peace offering from Zeus. Which was showing peace between the chief gods and Prometheus.
  • Days had passed, the newlyweds were happy but one thing remained. Pandora couldn’t get the box out of her head, she had so many questions about it. It became hard to resist it as sometimes she would almost open it but she had to remind herself of the vow she made to never open it. One day, she decided she couldn’t take it anymore and decided to open the box.
  • When Pandora opened the box there was a hissing noise and awful scent. This terrified her so she quickly closed the box but as she was warned it was too late. All of the evil things that Zeus had locked in the box had been released. This is when she realized that she was just put into the middle of a war or game that was being played between the gods.
  • I know that there is still hope.. I can feel it.
  • Zeus hide every evil thing into the box and after it was left out it spread. Everywhere. For this Pandora felt very guilty and after she opened the box it turned ugly. Although she felt as though the weight of the world was on her shoulders she felt there was still a bit of hope.
