Persian= over 90,000 troops and 2000 very strong Cavalry.
The long-range assault tactics of the Persian archers was to come up against the heavy infantry of Greek hoplites with their large round shields, spears and swords, and organised in a solid line or phalanx where each man’s shield protected both himself and his neighbour in a wall of bronze.
All of the odds were against the Greeks but they were victorious. 7000 persian troops were dead and only 200 Greeks. The Greeks were to powerful.
