When I was five years old my mother helped to lead me to Christ. I grew up in a family that loves the Lord and tough me to follow after him. At five I did not know everything at the time about my faith, but I knew that God loved me and saved my life for His.
When I was about twelve our family moved. It was really hard for me. We moved from everything and everyone I knew. In that time God continued to grow me in my faith. He helped me when I was alone and showed me that I can trust in him no matter what.
Later, throughout high school I was able to go on several mission trips. They were such great learning experiences. I got to go and sever my God, showing the love that He had given to me. Through all these trips God as grown me closer to Him, even if I didn’t see it.
One day I realized that I had grown comfortable in my faith. I knew who I was in Christ, but I was not growing the way that I should. I could hear God calling out to me, telling me to fully give up my life to Him and let Him lead me. Since then I have continued to grow even closer to my heavenly Father as he leads me.
Through my time at collage I have continued to strive after my God. He has continuously been faithful to me and shown me who He truly is. God has changed the whole way I see my life. Without him, the way I loved those around me and were I chose to go to school would have been very different without Him.
Over the years God has shown and taught me so much. Even now He is still teaching me how to love and grow closer to Him. He shows me himself most through worship and when I get to sing of who He is. Without Him I would be nothing.
