Storyboard Text

  • I have been invited to a reception, I would like you to attend along with me.
  • You may barrow that necklace.
  • I have lost the necklace Mme. Forestier has lent me!
  •  This scene begins exposition when Mme. Georges invites Mme. Loisel to a reception.
  • I didn't sell that necklace madame, I only supplied the case.
  • This scene begins rising action when Mme.Loisel barrows a necklace from Mme. Forestier.
  • Silent chambers, draped with Oriental trapestries and lighted by tall bronze floor lamps, and two handsome butlers in knee breechers.
  • This scene is the climax when Mme. Loisel loses the necklace because it changes the situation of the story.
  • I bought another like it. And we've been paying for it for ten years now. You can imagine that it wasn't easy for us who had nothing.
  • The author shows foreshadowing hinting that the necklace is a fake.
  • After paying for a replacement, the two become poor. Irony comes into play when Mme. Loisel wants to become rich but ends up poor.
  • At the end of the story the theme revels itself as being thankful for what you have, or in other words, greed.
