Zeus, Hera, Athena, Aphrodite, and Hermes travel to the fields on the outskirts of Troy to find Paris so he can make the difficult decision of who was the fairest. "You Paris, I have chosen you to perform a great task of choosing who of these three is the fairest." Zeus told Paris
Paris started to panic. "Oh how shall I choose which goddess to be the fairest, they are all so beautiful." the three goddesses decided to each bribe Paris in order to be chosen as the fairest.
Hera was the first to step forward. "Gallant Paris, if you choose me as the fairest, i will make you ruler of this earth, king of all kings." Paris was intrigued by this bribe but waited to see what the other two had to offer.
Then Athena stepped forward, "Young Paris, what is power without wisdom, if you choose me as the fairest, i will make you the wisest man alive." Paris was excited about this option but waited for the final goddess to state her bribe.
Finally, Aphrodite stepped forward and speaker with words that sounded like music, "Paris, power and wisdom is not what your lonely heart desires, if you choose me as the fairest, i will give you the most beautiful woman to be your wife."
Paris immediately chose Aphrodite and she laughed knowing that she had won. However, Athena and Hera were furious knowing that Paris had chosen her only because of what he wanted, he had judged unfairly. they vowed to have their revenge someday.
