Storyboard Text

  • I have to get my cook book to bake a cake for the party!
  • WOW! A cookbook is just like DNA because it holds the recipies for life and the cabinet I keep it in is like the nucleus because DNA is kept there.
  • I have to create a copy so I don't ruin the original.
  • Creating a copy is just like messemnger RNA which is responsible for the transcricption process of protien synthesis.
  • My kitchen is just like ribosomes or rRNA because that's where protein synthesis occurs.
  • The ingrediants are like amino acids because they hold the code to make the new strand of DNA.
  • Codons are groups of 3 letters. In a codon of DNA, it could be GTA or CAG and the RNA codon transcription would be CAU or GUC.
  • Now the protein synthesis is complete! The DNA has been successfully copied.
  • Suprise!
