Storyboard Text

  • Should I get rid of the eye?
  • SCREEM!!!
  • Why is he looking at me?
  • He is stone dead!
  • This is Edgar Allen Poe thinking of his situation. He keeps thinking that he is going to kill a man. "I made up my mind to take the life of the old man, and thus rid myself of the eye forever". He made up his mind to take his eye out.
  • This is the man that Edgar Allen Poe is trying to kill. This man is seeing Poe and is scared that Poe is looking at him at the crevice of his door. "With a loud yell". The man screamed.
  • No one can find him here!
  • Poe was now looking at him at his door. "The old man was dead". "Yes. he was stone, stone dead". Poe was now thinking of cutting him up. Poe now knew that he was dead. Edgar Allen Poe was ready to take him.
  • The loud is getting louder and louder!
  • Edgar Allen Poe was cutting him up in his house. "I cut off the head and the arms and the legs." Then he "took up three planks from the flooring of the chamber, and deposited all between the scantlings". He hid him where no one would suspect.
  • He made sure that the man was nowhere to be found. "replaced the boards so, cleverly, so cunningly, that no human-not even his-could have detected anything". He hid the man where no one could ever find him. He made sure he was in a secret place.
  • The policeman came to ask him questions. They acted so kindly along with him. He offered them to sit down and talk. This happened so that no one would suspect anything that Poe did. Later he did not feel so comfortable. "It grew louder and louder". The noise kept growing louder. The police did not hear anything. He heard voices in his head.
