Storyboard Text

  • whats a slavery?
  • Hey guys! I did research on my family and it turns out my family lived through slavery!
  • Slavery was a time when African Americans had no rights. But thankfully, the 13th amendment abolished slavery in any territory under the US government.
  • Even though we were given some rights, African Americans still didn't have the same rights that white people had. However in 1870, the 15th amendment let citizens not be denied any rights due to skin color and race.
  • wow i never knew about the amendments!!
  • However, after many years of fighting for rights, the 14th amendment let anyone born and naturalized in the US cannot be denied the rights under the constitution!
  • wow free rights for everyone!
  • Thanks to these three amendments, everyone was able to practice their rights given to them no matter their skin color or race!
  • Thanks for teaching me about the three important amendments! Thanks to them you're able to come to school with me!
  • No problem! I'm so happy to go to school with you!
