Storyboard Text

  • Assignment Day
  • Lina, pick a job from the bag.
  • Okay.
  • On night street
  • Okay.
  • Poppy I'm going to buy some pencils.
  • Exploraitions
  • I found a door yesterday, see
  • Oh yeah, sorry. Can you feel the door
  • I can't see anything.
  • Ok
  • I chose this scene because their jobs affect how they are going to get out of Ember. Lina and Doon are assigned their job’s. Lina gets ‘Pipeworks Laborer and Doon gets ‘Messenger.’ Lina really wanted to be a Messenger because she loves running around the city and Doon really wanted to be a Pipeworks Laborer because he fix the generator. Afterwards they switch jobs.
  • My prediction
  • On night street. Lina and Poppy went down a street called Night Street Lina went to a store that had coloured pencils(that were green and blue) while Lina was buying them Poppy wandered off when Lina came out the long blackout came it was around 7 minutes. I chose this scene because the longest blackout occurred.
  • Explorations. While exploring the Pipeworks after Doon is done his work, he discovers a locked door at the end of a tunnel, he can’t see anything because it is pitch black the only thing he can see a trap door in the ceiling that he can’t reach.
  • My prediction. I predict is that the black-outs stop happening because Doon fixed the generator with his dad's help and they find away out of Ember and find out that the first mayor told the builders that they were going to build a city and walls around Ember and a roof on top of Ember so no one could get out at the end of the book they get tools from the pipeworks and break down the walls.
