Storyboard Text

  • Principle 1: Genetic Variation-in the forest there are two different kinds of deer;  deer's with antlers and deer's without antlers.
  • Principle 2: Overproduction and struggle for existence-Both deer's have an average between 1-2 fawns but the deer with no antlers are constantly being hunted by jaguars because they have no way to protect themselves or fight off against predators.
  • Principle 3: Differential survival and reproduction- The deer with the antlers tend to live longer than the deer with no antlers. Deer's with antlers have a better survival trait whereas the dears with no antlers have less of beneficial survival trait.
  • Principle 4: Changes in gene pool-The beneficial trait that will be passed on to future generations are the deer's with antlers because they are more likely to survive because they can fight off against predators.
