The top of the hill is the spot where I will stay at until a vision comes.
After puberty, Kami is at an age where he feels that he has matured and to become an adult. He asks his father for permission to prepare for his vision quest.
Kami begins his 1 year preparation where he will begin his process of purifying and fasting in order for his vision to appear that will guide him in his direction of life.
Kami has chosen his sacred spot that he feels is special to him and will lead him towards the direction of his vision.
Before Kami goes on his vision Quest, he will meditate in a sweat lodge to purify the body, mind, spirit and heart.
After two days on that hill, Kami's guardian came in the form of an eagle. The shaman told him that the meaning of his vision shows that his purpose in life is to be a leader and to be a guide for others.
Kami has finally completed his vision quest and celebrates with the village. A wise elder gave Kami his new name, Mikki, where he is officially accepted as an adult in the community.
