  • The brother is congratulated for teaching Doodle how to walk. But little does the family know that it is out of embarrassment. (pg.598)
  • WOW!!!
  • *DANCE*
  • Brother, Brother, don't leave me! Don't leave me!
  • Doodle is left behind in the chaos of the storm. The brother streak of cruelty within him awakened and he ran as fast as he could away from Doodle. (pg. 604)
  • The brother knelt over Doodle's lifeless body , as he began to weep over his fallen scarlet ibis. (pg. 604)
