Storyboard Description

Is evolution true or not?

Storyboard Text

  • What is Evolution?
  • Evolution is a theory that organisms evolve into different animals over time.
  • Is there any evidence that proves this theory?
  • Yes! For instance, The transitional fossil, Pakicetus is closely related to the Gray whale. We know this because the structure of the skulls are very similar. The nostrils move from the bottom of the skull to the top.
  • In homologous structures, the limbs of a human, bat, penguin, and alligator may look different but the bone structure is very similar. All the bones are located in the same place.
  • Vestigial organisms are animals that have structures that serve no purpose. For example humans have a tail bone at the end of the spine that serves no purpose. Also, some snakes have pelvic bones and leg bones.
