Two different variations of ferrets had offspring. Their genes and traits were now shared in the new generation. the generation had offspring and now there's an overpopulation of species.
The new generation evolved in color, leg length, and jaw structure. This caused their offspring to end up with a new mutation.
The ferret population had their natural food source of berries. They live in a forest and are surrounded by grassy plains.
#6 Differential Reproduction
The faster ferret's natural food source died off so the newly evolved generation lived well the old suffered because they don't have the same mutation.
The ferrets that didnt have a strong jaw couldn't adapt to the new food source so natural selection took its course. The shorter-legged ferrets weren't fast enough to our run the hawk so they died off. The older generation's darker fur color made them easier to spot in the wild. Therefore over time they slowly died off.
Two members of the new generation with longer legs, stronger jaw, and lighter fur color produced offspring, and their offspring shared the new genes.
