I wish for the same thing my love. But you know my father will never approve.
I got you now! Don't bother hiding you're already trapped!
There was once a semi-barbaric king who had a odd way of sending people to trial. There would be an arena with two doors, one would hold a tiger, who would kill him. The other would hold a maiden matched to the man, they would marry if she came out.
I will accept whatever is behind this door.
The king's prized daughter, who was so much like him, had gone and fallen in love, with a commoner no less. No one else's love could match her love for him, and his love for her.
Their love affair continued on for a while, until one day, the king found out. Saying he was angry was an understatement. He had servants go out and fetch the fiercest tiger they could find. He then had his court choose the fairest maiden for the man.
As the young man entered the arena, everyone could see why he was the princess's lover. As he got ready to open a door, he glanced at the princess silently asking her what door. She made a quick notion with her right hand. With a stride he walked to the door without hesitation
As he walked to the door on the right, every breath was held, for they wondered if there was to be a slaughter or a wedding. When the door was opened out came the maiden! No one would witness a death, they've come for a wedding!
There's to be a wedding today!
As the maiden and her lover married, the princess watched silently. Tears were streaming down her cheeks but she had to keep quiet, for a princess never cried. She left the arena quietly but handled the heart break with the elegance of a queen.
