• A Very Crummy Problem
• 2: Sorry Cotton we tried to double the recipe but we didn't know how!
• 1: I smelt chocolate chip cookies and hope to join in if that's ok?
• 3: There is only enough for 2 people. Apologies from the chef!
• 2: So we have 15 cookies and we need to cut them in half and then we will have 30 cookie halves in all! So how many cookies would each of us get?
• 1: All you have to do is divide the cookies in half then divide the cookie halves by 3 giving each of us a bunch of halves of cookies. 3: Well 30 divided by 3 is 10 so each of us gets 10 cookie halves. Let's go eat!
• 1: Now we can finally eat......
• 3: Not again!
• 2: Wait we have to reduce the amount of chocolate chips from Brady and my cookies or we will get sick. We can only eat 6 chocolate chips!
• 3: I get it! If you subtract 3/4 of the chocolate chips we can get the answer and be safe!
• 2: Ok, so 24 chocolate chips are in all of our cookie portions. We can subtract and take 18 chips out and then we are left with 6 chocolate chips!
• 1: How do we do that?
• 1: Now can we eat our cookies!?
• 3: Math earned meals tastes extra good with hard work!
• 2: Of course!
