  • Hey, what's that?
  • It's my trumpet. I'm a jazz player here in town.
  • That's awesome! How'd you get started doing that?
  • Well, I was in Kid Ory's band down in New Orleans until I started spending my summers on some river boats with Fate Marable and his band.
  • I met a lot of good players then and made a name for myself too.
  • Wait are you Louis Armstrong?! I've heard about you. You're one of the best jazz players around. They call you the founder of jazz.
  • Why, yes I am. They do, huh? Well you look familiar, what do you do?
  • I'm Babe Ruth. You probably recognize me because I'm a baseball player for the Boston Red Sox.
  • No way! You're the best around in your skill too. I hear you hold a home run record. Well how'd YOU get started with baseball?
  • I performed well for Dunn and the Orioles who sold me to the Boston Red Sox. Then I started pitching and got pretty good.
  • Woah, that's pretty cool.
  • Well it was nice meeting a famous jazz player.
  • And it was wonderful meeting a famous baseball player as well.
