"Hope you enjoy our most terrifying experience! Haha!"
"Hey guys! Whats that? Let's go check it out!"
"Of course not! Its just a abandoned ship!"
"Is it the Flying Dutchman?"
"I wonder whats driving it around..."
This is Three Skeleton Key! A little island that these three men call home...for now. This is story is about three men named Ichoua, Le Gleo, and me, well will get to that later. Anyway, what was my most terrifying experience? Well it was a long time ago, a day at the lighthouse doing my usual business, but then Ichoua explained that there was a boat sailing closer to the island! We tried to give it a signal, but it just kept on turing back and forth in the water with no care whatsoever. Ichoua called me and Le Gleo over to come have a closer look. That's when we realized...
"WAIT FOR ME!"
"Hurry men! Inside!"
There was no crew aboard! We knew we couldn't help out now, but we were dying to see who was steering the ship and if it was going to crash. The ship kept getting closer and closer, but then back out again. The men watched with the feeling of tense and suspenseful running through their veins. After a couple times of the the ship doing its normal routine, the ship crashed into the rocks! The men knew for sure now there was no survivers but they couldn't look away because they saw something. Actually many things but it was a surprise on what they were.
They were rats but not just any kind. These were Ship Rats. Black and ugly they were with teeth as sharp as a lion. They squeak and hissed by smelling food for who knows how long they haven't eaten. They eat differently then normal rats though. While rats eat whatever they get there hands on, Ship Rats eat flesh of the human body. The rats began swimming to shore. The men thought they were going to drown but the rats stayed above water!
"Definitely! The supply ship doesn't come for another month so we need to figure out how to contact them!"
"Tomorrow lets figure out a way to get outta here!"
The three men should have ran inside but they were too in awe by this discovery they made. The rats were five times the size normal rats were and still the men were in amazement. When the rats were only a couple feet away, that's when they zapped back into reality. The men saw the flesh-eating monsters coming toward them and had no time to lose. They headed back into land and inside the lighthouse. The rats then finally made it to shore and headed up to the lighthouse and when they found out we were up here, the place was insane!
"You don't need to tell me twice!"
After they saw the rats there wasn't a moment to lose! They all ran back into the lighthouse, while all the rats came tumbling over one another, trying to eat there flesh. The men got inside and immediately locked all that was needed to be locked, but the rats did not give up. They stayed on the island waiting for the men to come out, or them to come in. If you looked at the lighthouse from a mile away, it would look brown and fuzzy. Thousands of rats were already climbing on the lighthouse, using all there power to get to food.
After they ran back inside the lighthouse, there was no way back out. The rats kept on trying to push there way through the glass, and were covering the lighthouse completely. If you ran out, they would fall on top of you and kill you in a short amount of time. The men had barely any supplies left from the mainland and could not get any sleep. For days they were stuck in the lighthouse. They blocked all the windows, cracks, etc, waiting somene to come to their rescue.
"But for now let's rest! Like Le Gleo said, lets settle this tomorrow!"
