Confucius was born September 28, 551 BC. He was given the name Confucius or also known as, Kong Qiu. When he was young people would treat others based on their wealth. He didn't believe that people should have friends just because they have a lot of money.
When Confucius was growing up he lived in a warring state. When he was older he wanted to stop wars and he also wanted people to treat others respectfully even if they weren't wealthy.
Confucius soon decided to become a teacher of philosophy. Some of his quotes are,"It does not matter how slow you go as long as you do not stop". He told his students this so they would understand that everyone works at their own pace so no one should feel different.
His students wanted to be apart of the civil service. He told his students this quote...
To become part of the civil service you need to pass my exam.
Soon Confucius won against war and stopped it with his students. Unfortunately, Confucius died in 479 BC at the age of 72. However his words still live on which still helps many people with challenges they have to face.
