Storyboard Text

  • Here we have a carbon molecule. This little guy is currently in an animal. This animal, though, is decomposing, so soon he will be in the soil.
  • Boy, do I feel bad for that guy!
  • Yeah, I guess it was just his time.
  • This stinks, literally!
  • I'm finally free of that disgusting body, but this is kind of boring.
  • He has made his way into the soil. We zoomed in so that you could see him better. He will be stored here for a while, then be released into the atmosphere.
  • I'm not bored anymore! I'm flying!
  • The soil released him, and now he is in the atmosphere. He will either be used by an animal, plant, or the ocean, or he will stay here because often times, carbon is just circulated through the air.
  • Now this little molecule is in a plant, who used him for photosynthesis. He ends up in the plant's roots.
  • Yummy carbon!
  • This isn't as fun as the first time...
  • The plant that he was in died, so now he is back in the atmosphere. The options of where he will go next are still the same.
  • He was taken in by the ocean. He might be released back into the atmosphere or he could make his way to the deep ocean where he'll be made into carbonic acid.
  • I think I like swimming more than flying!
  • This feels funny.
