  • Wow!! It's the great triangle of ShapeTown!! But I've always wondered what was the area of the triangle itself.
  • Oh Yeah! I heard that one side is 30 inches, and the other two sides are 20 inches. How do I calculate the formula?
  • 20 cm
  • 30 cm
  • 20 cm
  • Thanks...But who are you?
  • Actually, I can help you calculate that!
  • You would have to use the Heron's formula. The first step is to calculate "s", which is found by adding all the sides and dividing them by two.
  • (30+20+20)/2 = 35
  • After finding "s", use herons formula √(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) ) to find the area.
  • √(35-30)(35-20)(35-20)= 33.54 cm^2
  • I'm thankful for the explanation, but I still didn't get your name.
  • It's Jake.
