Storyboard Text

  • Hi, I'm Emma and today I would like to teach you about Alan Eustace. He set the record for the highest Stratosphere jump.
  • Alan''s dad was an engineer an Alan looked up to him very much. When Alan grew up, he wanted to be just like his dad.
  • Yeah just a little problem with work. A little engineering problem.
  • Dad, are you okay?!?
  • Mr. Eustace worked at Google. He was a very hard worker and had a good job. He worked in the Silicon Valley for 15 years. One day Alan asked his friend a famous question. Is it possible to jump from the Stratosphere?
  • Yes? No? Yes it is.
  • Hey Mr. Boss! Is it possible to jump from higher up in the Stratosphere?
  • Mr. Eustace worked on a suit made for this jump for 3 whole years. He had an entire team of experts to help him. Here he is finally going up into the atmosphere. The trip up took him about 2 hours to complete.
  • When he fell from the Stratosphere, he let off a small explosive to cut himself from the balloon. It took him around 4 minutes to fall down to Earth.
  • Well Emma, I want to be the first man to drink freeze dried soda on The Moon, in a crater.
  • What is your next adventure going to be Mr. Eustace?
