Storyboard Text

  • There was once a great kingdom underwater where a merman and his six daughters lived. The palace was beautiful.
  • There were six daughters & all were very beautiful, but the youngest was the most beautiful. She had red hair and fair skin with bright blue eyes.
  • One their 15th birthdays, each girl was allowed to go to the surface and witness human life. The youngest found a boat celebrating a young price's 16th birthday and immediately knew she was in love.
  • The young girl later found the same ship wrecked and the prince floating, grasping for life. She saved him and took him ashore, leaving him alone on the beach then returned home. She promised herself she would return for here love.
  • The mermaid went to a seawitch to find a solution to her problem. She asked for legs to go on land and agreed to a compromise. The witch took her tongue in exchange for giving her a pair of legs.
  • leave for love if you must, but if he marries someone else, you will die the next morning
  • The mermaid and the prince were happy at first. Then the prince confessed that he was already arranged to marry.
  • The mermaid's sisters went to the Seawitch when they found this out. She agreed to make a compromise in exchange for their hair. The sisters brought the mermaid an enchanted knife that she was instructed to kill the prince with by morning.
  • When the mermaid went to kill the prince, she could not because she loved him. For sparing his life the seawitch made the mermaid live as the spirit of air. So rather than making her die, she made her immortal as the wind and air.
