Storyboard Text

  • Doodle is a disabled boy who cannot walk, and his brother ashamed of that. His brother is always having to haul him around, as a result of being tired of it, he attempts to teach Doodle to walk. It takes awhile, but eventually, Doodle successfully learns to walk.
  • Brother was determined to have Doodle doing things that other kids his age could do, he had his heart set on it. One day, after dinner, Brother took Doodle for a "swimming lesson", despite Doodle's protests, stating he was tired.
  • Soon, it began to storm. With the lightening striking so often, Brother was in a rush to hurry home and beat the downpour. Brother walked fast, and Doodle tried to keep up. Soon, Brother began running, leaving Doodle behind, even after hearing his cries for help. Doodle had collapsed under a bush, bleeding from multiple wounds, he passed away, just like the Scarlet Ibis.
