  • The Boston Massacre
  • Colonists had to provide shelter and food for the soldiers. Any time a soldier came and knocked on a random door whoever lived there was ordered to provide food and shelter for any giving soldier.
  • The Boston Tea Party
  • The Stamp Act is a law that got passed in 1765. The law was that Colonist would have to pay a tax on printed papers. Colonist had to prove that the taxes were paid by having a large blue stamp on every printed paper. Colonist were angry because they didn't like the law nor did they like the British Govorment, and that is who the money was going to.

  • The Boston Massacre took place on March 5, 1770 the bad feelings erupted into violence. One soldier out of many heard "fire" and the crowd started roaring forward and the soldiers got upset and fired there guns killing 5 and wounding 6. Colonist called this tragic event The Boston Massacre.
  • On December 16, 1773, a group of men dressed up as Native Americans and climbed aboard the tea ships that were located in the Boston Harbor. There, they split open hundreds of boxes and dumped 90,000 pounds of tea into the Harbor. After that event they called it The Boston Tea Party.
  • After The Boston Tea party , Parliament decided to punish the colonist by passing several new laws. One law, The Boston Port Act , closed The Boston Harbor. On September 17. Leaders from 12 colonies gathered in Philadelphia to protest the new laws.  Colonist were angry and disappointed in the Government.
