Edgar Allan Poe was a struggling writer who couldn't make enough money off of journalism to support himself.
One day, Edgar woke up with a fantastic idea for a short story. He was convinced it would get him out of his poor financial state.
Unfortunately, although it was published, The Raven made little money. But, Edgar still couldn't get the concept out of his head.
He became obsessed with ravens, wanting to possess the qualities of one. After many long nights working, he developed a potion that he believed would do the job.
After drinking the potion, Edgar began to feel very strange.
He was ecstatic to see his plan had worked. Now he had another plan. To cause chaos!
