Jesus and his disciples celebrated their Passover meal which is called the last supper because it was the last meal Jesus ate on Earth. It was a special meeting where Jesus broke bread for all to eat symbolizing his body and wine for all to drink symbolizing his blood in memory of him.
Christ is Crucified
Jesus was sentenced to crucifixion under Pontius Pilate. He was taken by guards; he was mocked and beaten, they gave him a crown of thorns, a staff and robe as if he were a king.
Jesus in the Tomb
Jesus was made to carry his cross to the top of the hill but he fell many times. Along the way he met significant members of his family and friends.
Jesus is Risen
Jesus was nailed to the cross. Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother ad his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene, and the disciples whom he loved.
Jesus was taken away after he died on the cross. He was placed in a sealed tomb with two guards.
Jesus was resurrected after the third day and he burst through the tomb. Mary Magdalene was the first to see him and told her not to be afraid. All that Jesus said had come true. He died was buried and rose to save the sins of the world. Alleluia!
