  • Jackie Robinson had an incredible career in Major League Baseball. He was a big inspiration and opened up the game to other black players.

  • After his baseball career, Jackie worked for the cause of civil rights, and marched with Martin Luther King Jr. He also created the Freedom Bank in Harlem. Jackie Robinson is important because he became a turning point for racial equality and transformed baseball forever by breaking the colour barrier.
