  • Retreat from New York
  • Meeting with General Lee
  • Cross the Delaware River
  • General Washington and his army retreat from New York in order to Escape the British. 
  • March to Trenton
  • General Washington and General Lee meet and join together to plan attack on Hessians.
  • Attack the Hessians
  • The men had to steal boats in order to cross the Delaware river. They crossed at 5:30 pm on Christmas Day.
  • Winning the Battle
  • They marched to Trenton to attack the Hessians. On the way, they attacked and killed four Hessians in a guard house.
  • They arrived at Trenton and successfully attacked the Hessians. The Hessians had to surrender, due to their colonial getting shot and killed. Not a single American man got hurt or killed.
  • The Americans won the battle of Trenton, and captured around 900 Hessians. 7 years later, the Americans will win the Revolutionary War, gaining freedom and independence from the British.
