  • American soldiers   waited until the British  came .  British   were surprised  about how many men there were and retreated .
  • Fort  Sackville
  • We surrender.
  • British won , but at a great cost of loss   of soldiers.  It happened in Massachusetts June 1775.
  • Charles Town
  • General   John Burgoyne  surrendered because his men were exhausted  and   surrounded  in   October 1777.
  • Battle of Yorktown
  • Fort   Sackville happened in May 1778   and lasted until February  1779. In the end America  won because of threat .
  • Charles Town   happened in South Carolina in 1780  . General Clinton had a big impact on this battle because he led  his soldiers to victory.
  • Americans   and   French  bombarded Yorktown with British cannon . In the end the colonists  won  with the  British asking for  a peace treaty.
