• How can they understand whats going on or not care at all. ﻿
• This is easy peasy!!!! I am going to ace this test.﻿
• This is just a waste of my time. Why is this class so long and boring﻿
• Whining at the Library﻿
• OMG! What did I just go through?!?!
• Are you okay? What problems are you having? Maybe, I could help.
• Tutor Introduction﻿
• Synthetic Divison- is a shorthand, or shortcut, method of polynomial division in the special case of dividing by a linear factor
• ﻿This is how we are going to get started. With the definition...
• ﻿okay, i got this part down.
• Here are three students.﻿ The one up front is Jaiden, it seems like he is having trouble and not following through. Behind him, in the middle, is Aliyah and she seems very confident. In the back, Aldie seems not to care much about the work.
• Problem and Solve﻿
• (x^3+4x^2-8)/(x+4) Heres a key: x+4 is the divisor﻿

• ﻿Jaiden runs into the library and starts whining like a little baby because he does not understand. Luckily, one of the math tutors, Mr. P was in there and asked him if he could help. The answer was obvious.
• ﻿Where he went Wrong and How to Fix it

• WHATS THE MISTAKE﻿?
• ﻿Mr. P took Jaiden into one of the classes during one of his free periods and began with the defintion of the topic: Synthetic Division. He believes that to better understand the topic, you have to know what it is exactly.
• ﻿PASSED!!!
• I passed the test yay!! All because of Mr. P﻿
• WOW! I didnt think I would fail the test and now fail this class. My mom is going to kill me!! OMG﻿
• Mr. P put a problem on the board for Jaiden to solve to see where the mistake went wrong. Jaiden tried and answered the problem the way he felt is done. Clearly there is a mistake.﻿
• On the board, I am going to put down a problem. On the other board, i want you to show me how you solve it so i can see where you went wrong.﻿
• i tried.﻿
• ﻿Basically, the main problem that caused Jaiden to go wrong was one simple mistake that threw him off of the rest of the way. You could tell that Jaiden understands the concepts but when there are little tricks, he falls for them. He forgot to add a 0 for the 0X which was not shown on the problem. He was supposed to incorporate it and catch it.
• ﻿
• The following day, the class took a test. Jaiden passed all thanks to Mr. P. Aliyah passed and poor Aldie who didnt care, didnt even pass.
• I passed too! But I knew that anyway﻿
