Each child was brought individually to a room with an adult to play a ten minute game, in the aggressive condition, the adult would aggressively hit and yell at a 5-foot clown doll. In the non-aggressive condition condition, the adult assembled toys and didn't touch the clown doll, there was no adult in the control condition.
the children were left in the room with the clown doll afterbeing agitated where observers could see through a one way mirror if the children would attack the doll like the model did. Three aggression types were recorder, imitative aggression:- where the child attacked the doll the same way the model did, Partially-imitative aggression and no aggression
Bandura's findings showed that children were most aggressive when exposed to an aggressive role model, especially if the model is of the same sex. This led to him concluding that witnessing aggression ina model can be enough to produce aggression by an observer.
