Phoenicia was surrounded in a forest of cedar trees which was their source of wood.
Phoenicia was enemies with Egyptians, Mespatainians, and Romans which means the had to protect themselves.
Phoenicia had a trade network, kings, political assemblies, commercial fleets, and lots of other things there.
