Hans Hubermann was a man who only wanted to help a jew by giving him some bread so he could continue to march. Later Hans was drafted to war for what he had done... and when he came back home, something really bad happened to Himmel Street.
One night while the whole town was asleep Himmel Street was bombed, and everyone there was killed except for one young girl.
the night of the bombing Liesel was down in the basement writing in her little black book she got from the mayor's wife, and that book turned out to be the one thing that saved her life.
After the bombing, Himmel street was cleaned and Liesel's little book was left on the ground. The only person to notice it was death so after it had been thrown in the trash he went after it and kept it.
But I Love you Rudy!
Everyone Liesel knew and loved was dead. Rudy her best friend was killed before she could kiss him and tell him she loved him back. This was the worst day of her life
Death said the world was a factory. The humans rule it, the sun stirs it and he's only there to carry them away. Death had the worst job ever. He took away everyone on Himmel Street that night.
Come on In, watch your step.
