on September 16th, 1810 rebel priest Miguel hidalgo an they went to the rich mining town of Dolores to fight the wealthy people for making the peasants paying very high taxes. This mad the people very upset about it and made them want the blood of the authorities. this battle was very large and had about 20,000-50,000 people in it
The effects for this revolution were horrible over a half a million Mexicans died, and all their mining, industrial and agricultural production stopped during the war and also for the next 30 years Mexico had to find a well working government to be stable in the economy.
