King George III paid alot of money to make his army look strong. In the end he ended up in big debt and lost alot of money.
So, he started passing laws like the Stamp Act to tax American colonists. They hated this, not only were they being taxed, but they were being taxed directly.
The Sons of liberty didn't like it as well. What they did was they protested.
The American colonists started a boycott of british goods.
King George III did not like this, so he shipped crates of tea and they arrived at the Boston Harbor.
The Sons of Liberty asked King George to return the tea, but he did not listen, so one night they dressed as Native Americans, snuck onto the ships, and dumped all the tea in the Boston Harbor.
