  • Beliefs
  • There are many reasons to why we control psychological impulses to shape national & global landscapes of today and yesterday as these feelings or passions of self preservation , fear , worry, ignorance , and power are the driving forces that fuel our thoughts for economic prosperity. The outcomes that derive from the passions listed affect our future economic decisions. From the past we are now looking into long term prosperity , the luxury that we did not have before from lack of information.Depicted is a farmer looking into his field of crop thinking of ways to preserve and continue growing .
  • WHY?
  • There are economical and technological forces that shape the national and global landscapes of today. Due to wars and climate change and famine, we now can counterbalance those challenges with todays modern inventions . We have the technology to obtain knowledge of weather , economic balance, faster production . As far as economic forces go , with the knowledge obtained from history we now can justify that the choices made in the past had certain undoubtable outcomes , such as famine , wars decling economy, not providing security for long term results etc.
  • Widely accepted beliefs about gender and race shaped how people obtained real and intellectual property. In Gates "4O Acres and a Gap in Wealth" provided the statistics that some really successful African American lineage came from those who owned property before 1920 and with it being racist times, was under 25% of African Americans who owned property. Which leads to a major gap to today's wealth amongst African Americans. In Jacoby's "When Bright Girls Decide "Math is a Waste of Time" shows the social construct that women are more accepted to be helpless in certain areas of study , which allows for discouragement in the growth of science for women. With science seeming unappealing for women, women are pressured to deviate from scentific studies .
