  •  Background: Raised to belief that the republic he grew up in was as splendid as Rome. He wrote  the French encyclopydeia.  He even got into controversy wish a composer named Rameau.
  • Jean Jacques Rousseau
  • Beliefs: He believed that people were naturally good but power corrupts them. He argued that a direct democracy was the best way to govern. 
  • Impact; He impacted our government by influencing us to use a democracy. It isn't a direct one but it is still the form of government we use and follow.
