Hi. This is Sonny. We are going to talk about: What is strategy T2.2-3?
3) Evaluate impact of strategy on student learning, achievement, and engagement
2) Implement strategy T2.2-3: Students curate their authentic learning tutorials
1) Understand and articulate research underpinning element T2.2: Contribution
The main way to do create contributed learning communities is to have kids produce tutorials that are designed to teach others AND then have kids curate those authentic learning tutorials.
The follow is an overview of media clip 2.7 of this course: Becoming a Transformational Innovator
The Foundation: 4Cs + 2Cs
I always I like to build upon things. I'm a builder.
There are three learning intentions for this media clip
What is digital curation?
Think of curating art in a museum. HOWEVER, you don't have the physical limitations of a gallery in the digital world.
CONTRIBUTION provides multiple opportunities for students to master current knowledge and consolidate that knowledge to successfully address future learning problems.
The 4Cs are a great foundation. Sonny adds: CURATION and CONTRIBUTION. With these two added, you get student efficacy where kids are invested in the social emotional and academic well-being of everyone and believe that their efforts to improve.
It is an ongoing process of iteratively capturing, archiving, accessing, and reflecting upon one's authentic learning tutorials but they'reorganized using digital tools that help us organize our thinking
Digital content curation is a type of learning archive. It is a unique space of weird stuff that represents what you know how you come to know it. These THOUGHT EXHIBITS can be revisited to reflect on what you used to know and how you used to think.
