Storyboard Description

This is a storyboard about the life of Joan of Arc, she was a peasnt girl who did many great things for France.

Storyboard Text

  • At age 13, Joan a peasnt girl, started hearing voices, and at that time, France was in chaos. The voices gave her a task to do, save France and make sure that Charles, the dauphine, on the throne and drive the English out. 
  • What's that? You want me to make Charles the douphine KIng?
  • At age 17, she set out to kind Charles so she disguised herself as a boy, cutting her hair short and dressing like a boy. Once she reached a fort to have a soldier travel with her to Charles' court, they laughed at her put she soon convinced them. Charles knew she was coming, so he disguised himself but she still found him. 
  • Charles gave Joan a suit of amor and she predicted that she would find a sword in the church, then she found a sword in the church. Joan led Charles' army into battle at Orleans, and at the verge of defeat, Joan rode into battle, even though she was shot with an arrow, she took it out and kept fighting, they won that battle. Soon after, Joan and the army attacked Orleans itself, freeing the citizens.

  • Charles was made King and now with a king, Joan's troops feld leaving her with only 300 men but she held a surprise attack on Burgundy's army with 6,000 men. The French troop were forced to retreat  to Compiegne. Compiegne' mayor saw the English troops, so he closed the drawbridge, trapping Joan and her troops outside to be captured. Unfortunatly, Charles did nothing to save her. 
  • I am innocent. You have to believe me.  
  • How do you talk to god?
  • English paid and enourmous price for Joan from Burgundy's army and she was put on trial for witchcraft. The bishop of the Church drilled Joan with questions but she stood up to him. After 70 accusations, she signed a confession paper but soon after took it back. She stated that seh only said the words out of fear of "the fire." 
  • Who are you? 
  • Are you a witch?
  • My name is Joan. 
  • I don't talk to god, I talk to spirits but I don't know how. 
  • I am not a witch. 
  • Joan was burned at the stakes for taking back the confession she signed. King Charles VII stayed King for 40 more years and he forced the English out of France and united the country. Joan's family asked the pope t reopen her case and they found that Joan was innocent. Joan became a legened.
