Storyboard Text

  • 24th of August 79AD  Pompeii started to erupt a thick cloud of smoke which covered the north side of the city
  •       At 1 pm the bricks started to fall off the roofs of the houses near the base of the volcano
  • At 3 pm the roofs of the houses were covered in large patches of ash
  • At 5 pm the volcano started to erupt hot lava and lighting started to appear in the smoke clouds
  • At 8 pm hot lava had already spread through the whole city and a cloud of thick black smoke covered it
  • At 1 am the city city could no longer be seen, it was covered in smoke, ash, lava and debris
