  • Let's right a peaceful letter... We'll call it Common Sense.
  • Agreed
  • I say we start by saying "When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary" and then we'll go from there.
  • Another reaction to these harsh laws was tar and feathering. This was when the Sons of Liberty poured tar on British officials and tax collectors , followed by feathers being poured on top of the tar. The worst case of this was recorded in was in 1774.
  • A more peaceful reaction, would be "Common Sense". "Common Sense" was a pamphlet written in simple language, by Thomas Paine. In the pamphlet, he asked for independence and openly spoke out about King George. This really spoke to the people.
  • Ya! You tell 'em Jerry!
  • Sorry! No trading today.
  • One of the most famous reactions is the Declaration of Independence. The Continental Congress joined together to construct the Declaration of Independence. Fifty-Six members signed the Declaration.
  • Hey! This is west... right?
  • Ya! I think so!
  • The Revolutionary War, also known as the eight years war, was a war between Britain and the colonists. this war lasted from 1775-1783. Britain was overtaxing the colonists to pay off the King's war debt and not giving them a say in taxation. The war tactics included guerrilla warfare, used by colonists not in Confederate Army, and a volley like shooting style used by British and the Confederate Army.
  • You can have first fire, once you finish your rounds, we will return fire.
  • One of the events occurring during the Revolutionary War was the British blockades. This is when the British blocked off the ports along the colonies, to stop trading.
  • Some results of the war were the Americas losing their primary trading partner- Britain. The Americas were also in lots of debt. One good result was the Americas was no longer under British control and the colonists could now move west.
