Storyboard Text

  • How did you think about the CRBC taking over radio stations?
  • CBRC took over radio facilities and began broadcasting in French and English.
  • Well, I personally think that it's good. I also think its good for the people in Canada that get to listen to the radio nationally and in two languages.
  • The CRBC decided private stations could stay open. Many stations had closed because nobody was listening to them.
  • It depends, the privately owned stations did well. But once the station opened where they spoke French and English, I guess those became more popular.
  • Did you think it was a good or bad thing that the privately owned stations closed?
  • The CNR developed radio stations in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Moncton, and Vancouver.
  • Next we are going to learn about the radio ownership.
  • The radio stations that were developed in five main cities around Canada, were placed there very carefully and I think they will be there for a long time.
  • In 1928 a royal commission was signed, advising broadcasters in the future. Many Canadians switched to listening to American channels. Canadian channels were facing competition.
  • This American radio station is way better! So much new information that I didn't know before!
  • The CBRC was set up to regulate, control, and carry on broadcasting all throughout Canada
  • Personally, I think our radio station is much more boring and the American one has more information about each state.
  • I have a couple questions for you about your input on Canadian Radio.
