Hera (Goddess of Marriage ) wanted to kill Hercules because he was the son of Zeus. She sent two great snakes to Hercules when he was a year old, the snakes went to the nursery crawling into the crib. Then Hercules grasped their throats and twisted them into a coil.
Hercules was not an educated individual and teaching him was a dangerous business. He did not like music which was part of the Greek's boy training. On one of the lessons he went into a rage and killed his music teacher.
When Hercules was eighteen and full-grown he killed alone a great lion in the woods of Cithaeron, the Thespian Lion. Afterwards, he wore the skin like a hood.
